Pemberton expands European presence to Amsterdam

Pemberton, the diversified asset manager backed by one of Europe’s largest insurers, Legal & General Group PLC, today announces the opening of an office in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Pemberton’s pan-European network now spans seven locations across Europe, also including London, Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Luxembourg and Paris.
The opening comes at a time of increased investment opportunities in the Benelux region and will reinforce Pemberton’s relationship with local borrowers, partners and clients, as well as the local private equity and financial companies.
As part of the opening, Boris Harmsen joins the firm as Managing Director and Head of Benelux. Boris brings over 12 years of relevant industry experience, most recently from IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG, where he was Head of Benelux Leveraged Finance & Sponsor Coverage. Prior to joining IKB, Boris was at Egeria, Deutsche Bank and ABN AMRO Bank, where he developed strong knowledge of traditional and alternative asset classes.
Pemberton has financed several businesses based in the Benelux region, most recently and it will act as a sole lender to support the acquisition of Sunweb, a leading European online tour operator.
