Pemberton supports German solar energy solutions provider Energiekonzepte Deutschland

Overview

Pemberton, a leading alternative credit specialist, has provided financing to support Energiekonzepte Deutschland (EKD), a leading provider of self-sufficient energy solutions in Germany.

Energiekonzepte Deutschland provides photovoltaic systems, which include rooftop solar panels, energy storage batteries and electric-vehicle charging stations to power individuals’ homes. EKD accompanies the customer from the initial consultation to designing a customer-specific solution and then installing the system. Founded in 2018 by Mathias Hammer, EKD has significantly increased its sales to about €300 million in 2022. This year, the company plans to enter the growing heat-pump market to expand its product offering.

The funding completed in December 2022, supported by Pemberton’s Senior Loan Strategy, will be used to help drive the company’s next stage of growth.

The market for photovoltaic energy solutions in Germany has seen tremendous growth and is projected to experience further tailwinds in the future. We are impressed by the company’s ability to deliver tailored solutions for its customers, helping them to achieve a high degree of both self- and cost-efficiency. We look forward to supporting EKD in helping to shape the industry moving forward.

– Nils Weber, Managing Director, Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) at Pemberton

The growth financing of EKD has helped to prepare the company for the next phase of its growth, with the aim to become the market leading energy solutions provider in Germany. Pemberton’s tailored financing solution will enable us to realise the company’s potential and grow the business.
