Pemberton appoints Robert Wartchow as Portfolio Manager


Overview

Pemberton, the asset manager backed by one of Europe’s largest insurers, Legal & General Group PLC, today announces the appointment of Robert Wartchow as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for its Mid-Market Debt Strategy.

Together with Mark Hickey and Steven Craig, Robert will be responsible for the selection, due diligence and structuring of new investments and the management of Pemberton’s existing mid-market portfolio. Pemberton’s Mid-Market Debt Strategy, provides senior secured loans for acquisition and growth to companies across Europe.

Robert has nearly 20 years’ experience in credit markets and joins from Credit Suisse, where he was a Managing Director and Head of EMEA High Yield Syndicate. At Credit Suisse, Robert was responsible for structuring, underwriting, and syndicating new high yield bond and leveraged loan transactions for financial sponsor and corporate clients across the globe. Prior to that, he held various credit-focused roles at Deutsche Bank and Wachovia Securities. Robert is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA from Columbia University, US.

Robert is an impressive credit professional and will bring a wealth of knowledge to our team – he has extensive experience within the European leveraged loan market over several cycles and across sectors.
