Keith Jones

Chairman

Keith Jones has over 44 years’ experience in asset management and financial services.

Keith joined Pemberton in 2013 and is the Non-Executive Chairman of the Group.

Keith was formerly CEO of Aviva Global Investors (previously Morley Fund Management) and a member of the executive management board of Aviva plc. Prior to Aviva, Keith was a main board director of National Provident Institution and Chief Executive Officer of NPI Asset Management from 1994 to 1999. From 1989 to 1994 he was an Executive Director and Partner at Lazard Brothers & Co. Keith began his career in the City of London with James Capel in 1978, where he rose to be an Executive Director and Partner.

Keith has also held a number of senior industry positions, including Board Member of the Association of British Insurers (the “ABI”), Chairman of the ABI’s Investment Committee, founding Chairman of the ABI’s CEO Panel and Board Member of the Investment Management Association. Keith has also worked as an economic adviser to the U.K. Government and as an economic consultant at the Henley Centre. Keith has held a number of non-executive directorships including for F&C Asset Management plc and Just Retirement Group plc and has worked as an adviser to Lloyds Bank plc on its asset management and insurance businesses.

Keith is a currently an adviser to the private equity firm Permira LLP, a Non-Executive Director at Aon Hewitt, the Senior Independent Board Director at Smith & Williamson, one of the UK's leading wealth management firms, and Chairman of Haitong Securities (UK), the first Chinese investment bank in Europe.

Keith has an MA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oriel College, University of Oxford, and an MSc (Econ) in Econometrics and Economics from London University.
