Pemberton Asset Management, one of Europe’s leading private credit managers, has announced several senior leadership appointments, strengthening the platform as it supports its next phase of growth.

Robin Bailey has joined the firm as Partner and Group Chief Financial Officer, bringing a wealth of experience with over a decade at Pantheon where he served as CFO and subsequently as COO. As part of his role, Robin assumes responsibility of the group finance, fund finance and tax functions and joins Pemberton’s Management Committee.  Robin’s appointment comes amid strong momentum for Pemberton, following a year of expansion and growth and further operationally strengthening its multi-strategy European private credit platform, which now manages in excess of $30bn* in assets under management.  Robin reports to Mark Hickey, co-founder and COO.

After successfully leading the expansion of the firm’s technology platform over the last two years, including the proprietary development of several software systems, Pemberton’s Chief Technology Officer, Sachin Anandikar, will join the Management Committee, reflecting the strategic importance of technology in supporting the firm’s growth. Sachin continues to report to Mark Hickey.

Pemberton is appointing Chris Ellerker to be Head of Credit for the firm’s Direct Lending business and Matthew Kirsch to be Head of Credit for Asset-Based Financing, which will cover NAV Financing, GP Solutions, Risk Sharing Solutions and Working Capital Solutions strategies.  Both bring over 20 years of experience in European leveraged finance and credit risk management and will report to Symon Drake-Brockman, Managing Partner.  Nicole Gates has decided to leave for personal reasons at the end of March after nine highly successful years and, going forward, Chris and Matthew will lead Pemberton’s independent credit function, which continues to be an integral part of Pemberton’s investment process.  Both will assume their new positions in April following a transition period.

Having played a key role in the growth of Pemberton’s Direct Lending business and having co-led the UK Origination Direct Lending team with Richard Meehan, Cassandra Fahy is joining Juergen Breuer to Co-Head NAV Financing and GP Solutions Origination, Europe. Cassandra will report to Tom Doyle, Head of NAV Financing and GP Solutions, and Eric Capp, Global Head of Origination.

Cassandra will also lead the development of the origination activity for Pemberton’s Asset-Based Financing (ABF) businesses in Europe where she will work with the heads of these businesses to develop the ABF platform and report to Eric Capp.

Richard Meehan will assume sole responsibility for the UK Origination Direct Lending team.
