Chris is an experienced Credit Analyst having spent 20 years investing in the European Leveraged Finance market.
Chris joined Pemberton in 2020 and is a member of the Credit Team where he is responsible for analysing new investment opportunities by conducting due diligence, structuring / modelling transactions, running performance scenarios, and assigning an internal credit rating. Chris is also responsible for the ongoing monitoring and management of existing portfolio investments, including regular credit and rating reviews.
Prior to Pemberton, Chris was a Director in the Credit Strategy team at NatWest Markets, where he focussed on direct lending, leveraged loans and High Yield. He started his career in credit in the UBS Leveraged Finance team in 2003, and went on to hold Senior Analyst positions at Angelo Gordon and SC Lowy. In these roles, he has developed a deep understanding of corporate credit through the cycle. Prior to working in credit, Chris started his career at Ernst & Young in London, working in their Entrepreneurial Services team, focussing on servicing clients with a turnover of £5-100m.
Chris is a qualified accountant (ACA) and holds a LLB in Law with Economics from the University of Durham.
