Pemberton named Global Fund Manager of the Year PDI 2016
Overview
Following a year in which Pemberton has enjoyed significant achievements, we are delighted that the efforts of our team have again been recognised by our investors and industry peers. Being named Global Fund Manager of the Year by Private Debt Investor magazine, one of the industry’s most highly regarded publications, is another significant milestone for our firm and one that we are extremely proud of.
On behalf of the forty-strong team at Pemberton, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the investors, borrowers, industry participants and journalists who voted for us in this prominent category. Last year, we were excited to be recognized with PDI’s Global Newcomer of the Year award, and to solidify that success with the blue riband award this year is an honour for everyone at Pemberton.
The award is emblematic of the growth we have experienced over the past year: successfully raising and investing our maiden European and UK private debt strategies, deploying capital to leading European mid-market companies and significantly expanding our team.
We established Pemberton to focus on three areas: sourcing high quality opportunities with a strong local presence in our target markets; building a reputation around sophisticated structuring of investments for our borrowers and our investors; and credit management through market-leading underwriting, risk management systems and processes. We continue to believe that focusing on these three areas provides the key to success in our asset class.
We are excited that so many of you believe in our approach, and it is rewarding to be recognised so strongly for the success we have enjoyed to date. We look forward to building on this success through 2017 and beyond.
