Matthieu is responsible for developing Pemberton’s offering and using his structuring skills to repackage funds into rated note structures, add leverage to existing funds, and more generally tailor new structures to new potential LPs’ requirements.
He joined Pemberton in 2019. Before that he was an Executive Director at Nomura from 2017 to 2019, where he developed the CLO and fund-financing platforms. Previously he was a Director in Asset-Backed Finance at RBS from 2010 to 2017, executing RMBSs, Auto ABSs, SME ABSs and CLOs.
He has over 15 years’ experience as a credit structurer. Earlier in his career Matthieu worked in corporate finance at New Amsterdam Capital and Deutsche Bank’s CLO group. Matthieu has a MSc from HEC, Paris and a MEng from Imperial College, London.
