Jay’s appointment follows strong momentum for Pemberton’s CLO business. In 2025, the platform issued two new CLOs under its Indigo series (Indigo III and Indigo IV) and successfully repriced Indigo I.
Amidst a positive market backdrop, Pemberton’s CLO business has grown to €1.6 billion in AUM, with further new issues planned under its Indigo Series in 2026. Jay’s appointment will support its ongoing growth and development.
Jay brings almost two decades of experience and a strong track record of credit selection and developing successful CLO strategies across a number of sectors in Europe. He joins the Pemberton team at a time when our CLO platform continues to go from strength to strength. Jay’s insight and judgement will be a valuable asset to the team and to our investors. Pemberton’s CLO strategy focuses on the active management of liquid, broadly syndicated European leveraged loan portfolios, supported by a robust investment framework combining fundamental credit analysis, structured portfolio construction and ongoing risk monitoring. The Indigo platform is a core pillar of the firm’s multi-strategy private credit offering.
Jay joins Pemberton from Oaktree Capital Management, where he spent nearly two decades and most recently served as a Managing Director investing across European high-yield bonds and leveraged loans. He brings deep experience in CLO portfolio strategy and credit risk management, having supported the growth of Oaktree’s CLO business since its inception. Prior to Oaktree, Jay worked in Deloitte’s Private Equity Transaction Services group and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA).
