Telecoms is a fundamental sector in any economy. Telecom infrastructure provides essential services to a highly diversified customer base but has high capex needs. By contrast, Telecom Services companies are asset-light businesses with low capex requirements and strong cashflows.
These attributes make Telecom Services an attractive sector for direct lending generally – and for Pemberton. We have made three investments in the sector up to July 2021, deploying €310m of investor capital.
